Promote Case study — Build or Break

PR firms charge tens of
thousands for this.
We got it with distribution.

Build or Break — the new podcast from KIND founder Daniel Lubetzky — came to us to launch. We crafted a strategy that touched sports, finance, entrepreneurship and motivational pages. When Chris Paul opened up about the Clippers sending him home, the distribution turned into national news within a day.

ESPN, USA Today, NBC Sports, Yahoo — 8 tier-one newsrooms credited the podcast by name and linked to our posts. No pitch, no retainer, no press release. Earned media as a byproduct of world-class distribution.

What we did

We engaged our creator community to clip the podcast and push it out — across 16 established sports and business pages and 43 accounts built from scratch for the show. 111 posts went live, and every clip tagged the podcast, so the reposts compounded into one identifiable source instead of scattering.

What happened

960,280 views. The Chris Paul clip became the primary source eight tier-one newsrooms cited by name — ESPN, USA Today, NBC Sports, Yahoo Sports, Sports Illustrated, the New York Post, Hoops Rumors and Basketball News. Yahoo embedded our post inside the article itself.

Distribution

Tier-one pages carried the moment.

The strategy touched sports, finance, entrepreneurship and motivational pages — established audiences that put the clip in front of the people who matter, including the journalists who cover them. Every post tagged the show, so the story stayed traceable to one origin.

The pickup

Real newsrooms get their stories from short-form now.

ESPN, USA Today, NBC Sports and 5 more covered the story — every one credited Build or Break by name, and they linked to our posts. Yahoo Sports rendered our campaign post inside its article body. Every card links to the live article.

When a national outlet embeds your clip, your distribution becomes their source material. The views were the buy — the citation in ESPN came with it.

What this is worth

Distribution that
pays twice.

Paid distribution bought the views — and the pickup added what PR firms charge tens of thousands to chase: the podcast entering the record as a cited source. The citations compound on top of the reach.
